“My career began decades ago and Metro NYSAE was an integral part of it. I fondly recall one of the very first programs I attended as a “newbee.” Marie T. Rossi, CAE, was President at that time and made it her mission to introduce me, the shy newcomer, to as many members as she possibly could. I’ve paid that forward ever since and recognize that as a core part of the organization’s culture. As a young association professional, I volunteered to chair one of the most active CAE Study Groups in NYSAE history, ultimately earning the CAE designation. Embracing other activities, I especially enjoyed attending and exhibiting at the annual MEET NEW YORK program and exhibition. Back then, the program was titled “We Love New York Day” and the conviviality alone rang true to me as a Broadway-loving, life-long New Yorker. Over the years, I’ve participated in many other Metro NYSAE sponsored programs and get as excited about being part of this community as I did in the early days. I’ve had the good fortune of networking with some of the industry’s best as a direct result of being invested as an NYSAE member and supplier partner. It’s always an honor, a privilege and a pleasure to be associated with Metro NYSAE!”
