Metro NYSAE exists to empower association professionals at every career stage to reach their full potential and navigate the ever-changing landscape of association management.

Metro NYSAE is the “association of associations,” serving association professionals across the New York metropolitan area and surrounding communities in Connecticut and New Jersey. Its members include chief executives, emerging leaders, mid-career professionals, and industry partners who work across trade associations, professional societies, charitable organizations, other nonprofits, and the companies that support them.Metro NYSAE exists to help association professionals at every stage of their careers grow, connect, lead, and succeed. Through education, peer exchange, leadership development, and community, Metro NYSAE equips members to navigate the evolving association landscape and make a greater impact within their organizations and the communities they serve.

Founded in 1919 as the New York Society of Association Executives, its mission is to lead in advancing and serving the profession of association and not-for-profit management.

Associations Make an Impact

Associations account for 1.1 million jobs and $71.4 billion in wages throughout all 50 states. Nearly 52 million participants in association events directly support 342,000 jobs and generate nearly $43 billion in spending in communities across the country. Associations contribute $27.4 billion in federal, state, and local taxes – with events generating an additional $7.7 billion in taxes to state and local governments.
