Digital Excellence Award

Recognizes an association for visionary innovation in use of digital technology to advance its mission. Trade, Donor and Professional Associations and Non-Profit Organizations and CVBs are automatically nominated for this award.

Criteria for Assessment:

The association will have a media plan in place that is updated as technology changes and opportunities arise.

The association must demonstrate website excellence as evaluated on characteristics such as immediacy of overview, timeliness of content, aesthetics, consistency, ease of navigation, internal search capabilities, opportunities for online engagement that invite members to collaborate and contribute, and integration with its other social media.

The association must have a solid social media presence (i.e., Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) to post timely, engaging messages that attracts a substantial number of “likes” and/or interaction.

The association has mobile apps featuring on-demand downloads and capabilities for members, supporters and stakeholders to engage the organization with immediacy; provide a hub for subject matter experts to provide educational blogs, podcasts, and videos; and electronically publishes articles and commentary to enhance its presence and market membership, fund development and events.
